Accessibility Statement
Effective date: to be set at launch · Draft for legal review
InfoWest wants every neighbor we serve to be able to use this website, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, or other assistive technology. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an add-on.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That target shapes how we design and test: text alternatives for images, sufficient color contrast, full keyboard operability, visible focus, clear headings and landmarks, and forms with proper labels.
What we do
- Build pages with semantic HTML, ARIA labels where needed, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Check color contrast against the InfoWest brand palette during design, not after.
- Test keyboard navigation and screen-reader output on key flows, including plan pages and the availability form.
- Respect reduced-motion preferences for animated elements.
Known limitations
Some older content may not yet meet our standard, including PDF documents produced before this statement and third-party content we embed (for example, mapping and payment tools). We are working through these, and we will prioritize anything you report.
